Amybeth McNulty is an Irish-Canadian actor. Most famous is her role as the main character Anne Shirley on the CBC/Netflix Drama Series Anne with an E. This drama was based Lucy Maud Montgomery's novel Anne of Green Gables from 1908. Amybeth McNulty, born 7 November 2001, is the daughter of an Irish father and a Canadian father as well as an Irish mother. Amybeth was born the the 7th of November 2001 in Ireland. By 2023 Amybeth is turning 20 years old. She was born and raised in the Irish island Donegal in Ireland. She holds dual Irish as well as Canadian citizenship. She has blonde hair. Anne was also in a tense relationship with Gilbert Blythe who was two years younger than Anne and was also studying at her level having had his schooling interrupted when his father became ill. On their first meeting as classmates, Gilbert joked with Anne with the nickname Carrots. Amybeth McNulty is Anne. She's 13 years old and went through traumatized childhood. She was raised in orphanages and also strangers' homes. The story begins in the 1890s, when Anne is mistakenly sent to live with aging sisters Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert who live on Prince Edward Island. When the show ends it's 1919 and the family have a great time; Gilbert is 55 and is still deeply attracted to Anne in Green Gables.
