Ariana was then matched against Lee to defend the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational title, which was which was won by Lee. Summer Rae, Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes joined her to a 6-on-1 handicap with Nikki Bella. The trio only arrived to fight Nikki Bella. In the pre-show of Battleground, she got the chance to play Naomi. In the match, Ariana beat Naomi. The result was that they started competing. They fought several handicap matches and tag-teams throughout the summer. In the years that followed, Ariana wrestled alongside fellow wrestlers, including Paige Bella Twins Alicia Fox and Asuka.
